Jan Redwine Paveglio’s Review
Within the pages of this book, Danny True has given us a look at a man’s discovery of our Lord and Savior, his dedication to serve Him, and the walk of faith that has inspired him to share his story. Danny and his family faced fires which tested their mettle, but their strong and steadfast faith kept them upright and dedicated to the Lord’s work.
We also see a man who struggles against many and diverse odds; loses two of his most precious possessions, his beloved daughter and wife, yet stands firm in his committment to serve God. In reading this book, you will cry, you will smile, and I promise that if you do not already know Daniel True, you will want to know him and you will be blessed by the words he has written.
Jan’s Review of the Author!
As a young girl growing up in Big Stone Gap, VA, I always knew Danny True to be a model young man; gentle, courteous, and friendly. At that time, little did I know that he would one day grow into a man of dynamic faith and spirituality. In renewing our friendship many years later, I was amazed at his growth in the Lord, his witness, and his commitment to serving Jesus Christ.
His vision of creating a community of Believers in a singular setting, working together as a body, has also become the hope of others, including my husband, Jimmy and myself.
This book is not only the testimony of a good and faithful servant, but an inspiration to all who read it. As you read Danny’s story, you will definitely witness the Holy Spirit at work, not only in the author’s words, but in your own heart as well.

Review by Mayor Tom Pierce
In his book, Danny has given us a genuine representation of life in Big Stone Gap in the mid-Twentieth Century. He humorously recounts many incidents with which those who grew up there can identify. He describes many hardships and disappointments that he overcame because of his strong Christian faith, which is an inspiration to anyone who reads his book.
Danny’s achievements were a direct result of his hard work and faith-based ethic, which many from Big Stone Gap possess. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Review from Gwendolyn Smith-Filsinger
“I Walked With God……..and Still Do” is only one of many books that Daniel M. True has within himself.
I printed the story of “Tracie” and mailed it to a good Christian friend of mine. The story is being used in a class against Abortion. It is a Tribute to the beautiful girl that was raised by Danny & Teresa.
Danny, the account of your Life up until now — I feel you could have written more, much more.
